Cold Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy, or low level laser therapy, utilizes a low-intensity light to improve blood flow, decrease pain and inflammation, and improve healing. The treatment is called “cold” because the light levels are low enough they do not heat the tissues. You actually won’t feel anything during a laser treatment because of this. Cold laser therapy is beneficial for a wide variety of conditions and our Omaha chiropractors and physical therapist use it often in practice to promote healing!

How does cold laser therapy work?

Cold laser therapy uses light photons that are introduced through your skin with a wand containing light-emitting diodes. As the photons enter your skin and other tissues, they stimulate cellular changes to increase cell metabolism. This increases blood flow, reduces inflammation, and speeds up the healing process.
